Multiway Calibration Strategies in Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy: A Proposal

In this study, a new approach to laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) data modeling using multiway algorithms was investigated. Two case studies, parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) and unfolded-partial least-squares with residual bilinearization (U-PLS/RBL) were used in (1) the determination of Al, Cu, Fe samples reference material printed circuit board (PCB) from electronic waste (2) Ca, K, Mg human mineral supplement, where depth obtain multidimensional first delay-time second. addition, univariate calibration applied compared approaches. all cases, set prepared salts. PARAFAC showed satisfactory results low prediction errors good accuracy for most samples, U-PLS/RBL algorithm presented best performance supplement samples.
